Founded by Kathryn Phillips (formerly Wait) in 2006, Lavender & Thyme is one of the most respected landscaping companies in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Lavender & Thyme Landscaping and Gardens is based in Tokai and we specialize in designing and installing up-market residential gardens in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. We work predominantly in the Constantia valley area, as well as Newlands, Noordhoek, Claremont and Bishopscourt. We manage all stages of the installation process, from planning through to completion, including specialized maintenance of our gardens thereafter.

With over 18 years in the industry, Kathryn is the vision and the passionate driving force behind the company. Whilst doing all the client consultations, designing and quoting, Kathryn also manages all the installations in conjunction with her husband, Roy.

Roy is the technical director and project manager. With over 30 years of engineering & building experience, Roy manages all hard landscaping elements.

Kathryn, Roy & family live in Tokai. They love the outdoors and walk their dogs in Tokai forest and Constantia greenbelts nearly every day. They are passionate about animal rescue and have many rescued cats & dogs.
